Our Story
Geotron UK Ltd. was founded in 2002 by the collaboration of a UK based team with an environmental consultancy background and Geotron International B.V., an established Dutch drilling contractor operating internationally on environmental and geotechnical drilling programmes since 1989. The result was a UK-based independent company offering a range of technical site services to clients throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
Operating initially with a single site crew, the company has grown year on year currently working with a team of up to 30 drilling operatives, groundworkers, managers and support staff. We have continually added to our fleet of rigs, transport trucks and support vehicles ensuring we are always at the forefront of drilling technology.
Our Team
Geotron UK comprises a team of almost 30 staff including 10 site based crews (drilling teams and groundwork/vacuum excavation crews) and office-based support and management staff, all dedicated to keeping projects running smoothly, supporting our site crews and serving the needs of our clients throughout the lifecycle of a project.
Geotron's senior management team has over 90 years combined experience in the environmental and geotechnical site investigation and geotechnical contracting field. We are keen to bring new recruits into the industry, whether it be working in a site-based role or in a support and management capacity. Geotron offers the necessary training, assessment and CPD to ensure the whole team provides a high quality, technically capable, collaborative and responsive service.

Geotron's Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management systems are certified to ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018. Our activities have also been approved by the Avetta and Acclaim SSIP Schemes and we are a Constructionline Silver Member.
Training
Health, Safety and Competency of our staff is paramount to our Company values. All our new recruits undergo a programme of H&S training (CSCS, Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness, Defensive Driver) prior to working on any of our sites. Our Lead Drillers have an NVQ Level 2 in Land Drilling; we have crews with SPA UK PIA training for working on fuel stations; crews with Non-Licensed Asbestos Work (NLWA) training, SHEA Gas crews and various other industry specific accreditations.
