Geoprobe 7822DT
To increase our drilling capabilities and contaminated land remediation services we have recently collected a new Geoprobe® 7822DT from Geoprobe Environmental Technologies in Beglium. This is the first of this new model in the UK, owned and operated by an independent drilling contractor and it is the largest and strongest Geoprobe® unit available in the country.
This rig is a high capacity direct push machine with a narrow tracked base for good manoeverability and for use in limited access areas. It is equipped with strong rotary head for augering, giving flexibility and versatility in its drilling capabilities. It has been factory fitted with an interlocked rotary guard to comply with UK HSE requirements.
Using Geoprobe’s wide array of high quality tooling options we can offer services including:
- lined soil sampling;
- grab water and soil vapour sampling;
- installation of wells by direct push as well as hollow and solid stem augering techniques; and
- direct injection of in-situ remediation products.

Technical Specifications
The 7822DT is the latest model of its size with improvements in the hammer, a redesigned operator-friendly control panel and faster operating speed of the winch compared to earlier models.
The new Geoprobe® GH64 percussion hammer specifically for this new machine has two new significant features: a Modular Percussion Power Cell and integrated two-speed, bi-directional rotation enabling numerous rotational applications, including concrete coring and in some conditions subsurface rock coring, with a rotation speed of up to 550 rpm.
The new GA4000 augerhead offers more torque and is integrated onto a totally redesigned swing-out mounting system. The robust power source for these key components initially originates from the 58 hp Kubota diesel engine and is directly coupled to a high-capacity 40 gpm hydraulic pump.
