Our Equipment
Second only to our staff, our equipment is crucial to the successful operation of our business. For tools and machinery to operate well, they must be treated well. We have a regular checking and maintenance programme (from electrical PAT tests to routine engine servicing) and ensure that our equipment not only works safely and in the way to which it was designed, but is also kept clean both cosmetically and fundamentally. Our professional approach to drilling activities is reflected in the quality and state of repair of our equipment and we continually strive to add new and innovative tools to our armoury.
On a worldwide basis Geotron operate approximately 18 drilling rigs, based in the Netherlands (Geotron B.V.), Chile (Geotron Chile Ltda.), the Dutch Antilles (Curucao, St Martin) and in the UK. At any one time, rigs can be stationed at project locations throughout Europe, Central and South America, the Middle East and the Far East. Our international teams have extensive experience in organising logistics for overseas projects and managing these programmes to successful conclusions.

For drilling programmes in the UK where larger diameter or deeper boreholes are required, or when multiple machines are required to complete a scope within limited timescales, we have access to a range of multi-purpose drilling rigs that can be mobilised from our base in the Netherlands.
