Wizard C1 Crawler

The Wizard C1 is a medium size track mounted drill rig suitable for drilling in areas where access is limited. The rig is 1050mm x 1665mm x 4100mm in size (making it specifically suitable for drilling beneath fuel filling station canopies). With the fitting of an alternative mast (total height ~2300mm), this rig can work in areas where head room is even lower e.g. car parking garages.

The drilling techniques that can be performed with this machine include:

Hollow/Solid Stem Auger with an outside diameter of up to 250mm (up to depths of 20m in soils and weathered or soft bedrock strata)

Cable percussion (Shell & Auger) with casing diameters of 178mm and 219mm (up to depths of approximately 40m in non-cohesive soft soils)

Rotary Drilling (open hole & coring) at a variety of diameters into the upper layers of bedrock

There are currently two of these machines within the Geotron fleet. One is stationed in South America where it has been working on large scale drilling programmes on remedial projects for the last year. The other machine is currently based in the Netherlands and is available for projects throughout Europe.
