Nordmeyer DSB 0/3

The Nordmeyer DSB 0/3 based in the UK, is a
medium-sized multi-purpose hydraulic rig capable of performing a
variety of drilling techniques depending on the nature of the geology
and the specification of the boreholes and/or monitoring wells
required. These techniques include:
Hollow Stem Auger with an outside diameter of
205mm (up to depths of 10-15m in unconsolidated soils and weathered or
soft bedrock strata);
Solid Stem Auger (Cased or Open Hole drilling
through cohesive sediments/weathered or soft bedrock strata);
Cable Percussion (Shell & Auger) with casing
diameters of 178mm and 219mm (up to approximately 20m in uncemented
soils). The machine is equipped with a powerful rotary casing table
which allows turning and lifting of the temporary steel casing enabling
rapid progress of drilling and well installation;
Rotary Drilling (open hole drilling using roller
bit with water or air flush or Down-the-Hole hammer with air flush) at
a variety of diameters into of bedrock. With the mounting of an
alternative drill head, this machine can also perform rotary coring
The rig is mobilised to site within a 17 tonne transport vehicle
capable of carrying all the tools and materials required for a project
to allow rapid and cost effective mobilisation all over the UK and into
mainland Europe.
