Comacchio GEO205
The Comacchio GEO205
is a compact multi-purpose hydraulic rig, capable of the following
drilling techniques:
- augering (solid & hollow stem);
- rotary drilling (open hole);
- rotary coring;
- rotary percussive drilling;
- DTH hammer;
- soil sampling;
- SPTs; and
- window sampling operations.
The
machine is mounted on rubber crawlers, is approximately 2.9 tonnes in
weight and has a mast height of 4.5m (with a removable section to
reduce height if required). The rig is transported within a
custom-built, curtain-sided trailer, towed by an Iveco artic
unit. This allows easy and rapid mobilisation of crew and
equipment to site locations throughout the UK.
