Geotool GTR790 RHB
The Geotool GTR790 RHB multi-purpose soil sampling rig has
been part of our fleet since February 2005.

This rig offers standard window sampling, cased and lined
windowless sampling (dual tube sampling) and continuous flight auger
drilling. Window and Dual tube sampling is using a drop weight system
(maximum combined weight of 128kg) also enabling dynamic probing
procedures following DIN and SPT standards. In addition, the mast is
fitted with a hydraulically powered rotary drill head to enable the use
of augering techniques to penetrate difficult ground conditions prior
to window sampling and as a stand alone drilling technique. Mounting of
a different drill head also enables performance of and rotary coring
and DTH applications.
The unit is compact (W1020mm x L2350mm x H1250mm (mast down)/2400mm
(mast up), robust, manoeuvrable on rubber tracks and light-weight
(~1300kg). It is transported to site within a box trailer towed by our
fully-equipped shallow soil and groundwater investigation vehicle,
providing a complete shallow drilling capability to suit any site.
